Bettie Page (April 22, 1923 – December 11, 2008) was an American model who became famous in the 1950s for her fetish modeling and pin-up photos. She has often been called the “Queen of pinups”. Her look, including her jet black hair and trademark bangs, has influenced many artists.

I did not see this movie until it was out on HBO & Showtime but wish I has seen it sooner! Gretchen Mol does not look a lot like Bettie Page but she is still gorgeous and does a good job portraying a Pin Up girl of the 40′s and 50′s. If your into the Pin Up girl era then this is a pretty good movie to add to your collection. (Careful, not for those under 18 due to full frontal nudity). Did I mention Gretchen Mol is easy on the eyes?
