In today's electronic world of kindle, iPads, computers, cell phones and DVR's, who would have ever thought it would make sense to start a new publication? Actually, a printed medium on paper and ink. What the hell is that stuff?
Most of today's younger generation can't even remember a time when our best source of news and information came from a daily newspaper. Come to think of it, I haven't bought a "Newspaper" in over five years. Even magazines are "old school" to the internet generation.
So what does this have to do with vintage pinup girls? It seems someone thought the time was right to reach back into the past and bring some of those fond pinup memories into the present in the form a new magazine titled "Retro Lovely". This magazine ensures the art form of pinup photography lives on and is introduced to the internet generation. So what will you find in this new magazine?
Here's a description from the editor....
This magazine will cater to no one single pinup style. It will bring you Classic Cheesecake, Hollywood Noir, Cabaret, Burlesque, Victorian, Deco, Kitschy, Atomic, Bad Part of Town Rust Queen and every conceivable cross-pollination of these you can imagine.
If you are one of the ever growing army of fans of pinup photography, then this magazine is definitely for you. I just received my copy of issue #1 and I gotta admit, I'm really impressed. The models are gorgeous and the photography and backdrops are just as beautiful. This issue has over 80 pages of pinups reminiscent of the glamour photography of the 1940' and 50's. Just so there is no confusion, these images are all very tastefully done, no nudity, but there is good bit of naughty!
Retro Lovely will no doubt become a collectors item in the future. If you want to get in on a new publication that features incredible pinup photography on super glossy pages, then check out the Retro Lovely Website to find out how you can purchase the next issue. I know I'm already looking forward to my next copy.
